Identity Theft Safety Training

The table below depicts the two paths for employers and employees handling sensitive identity information.  The top path follows the “Blissful Ignorance” effect that will lead to greater risk of ID data loss.  The second, lower path, leads to greater ID data security and helps to mitigate employer liability.

These insights are the reason why one of the key long term solutions to critical information loss is to train people to change their behavior by making it clear that identity information has a price, that it is a very valuable and expensive product, and that employers and employees need to treat it as such.
